  2. dear david...i don't deserve god's love.. none of us do. when i was 17, i discoverd that although i was a lost prodigal, the father was ever waiting for me and when i wanted to come to him, he was there!....the light came into my heart whan i saw this verse in luke 15:20
    "Luke 15:20
    And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him."

    we sing this hymn quite often in the breaking of bread morning meeting and it touches my heart to tears every time.

    "Near, so very near to God,
    Nearer I cannot be;
    For in the person of his Son
    I am as near as he.
    So dear, so very dear to God,
    More dear I cannot be;
    The love wherewith he loves the Son -
    Such is his love to me."

    this is in the "believers hymn book"

    god bless you for such a sweet post david....in christian love, terry

  4. Quite profound. Jim MacF observed on last Wed eve that the Lord was teaching Peter to be reflective in John 20 - I like that suggestion. And it had effect because by the time we get to 2 Peter, we find a reflector:

    For we have not made known to you the
    Power and coming of our
    Lord Jesus Christ, following cleverly imagined fables,
    But having been
    Eyewitnesses of *His* majesty.

    For He received from God the Father
    Honour and glory,
    Such a voice being uttered to him by the
    Excellent glory:
    This is my beloved Son, in
    Whom *I* have found my delight;

    Yours in Him,
    Craig
