to be given to
readers
or hearers.
Words are a path
by which meanings
may travel from mind
to mind.
Words are animals,
semi-trained, which
become
meanings when tongue
or pen releases
them,
Words are cogs in
the machinery of
language
conveying energy
as meanings.
Words are drugs
whose influence
grasps
meanings from
inarticulate sound.
