When Jesus Christ the Lord returns to reign,
To make an end to man's world's dismal story
Of lawlessness and sorrow, death and pain,
The start of which was sin, and end was gory,
His coming will be in the Father's glory,
And He will see, reigning in truth and peace
The Father's kingdom flourish and increase.
Mark 8: 38
I love this poem. The start of which was sin, and the end was glory... so be it! (you forget the letter L in glory).
ReplyDeleteThank you. I did mean "gory", i.e. "bloody", that being the end of man's story, with the glory coming in at Christ's appearing. Revelation 14 19,20 would be an example of the end of sinful man's story.
