Thou art the First
In all God’s thoughts and ways:
Who rose first from among the dead,
And as Thou art the church’s Head
We give Thee praise.
 
We give Thee praise:
Thou wilt not be surpassed,
For all God’s thought and ways depend,
On Thee and in Thee have their end:
Thou art the Last.
 
The Living One
Alive for endless days;
We bless Thee that God’s ways and thought
Are founded in what Thou hast wrought
And give Thee praise.
