Thoughts of oppression

Swelled within the souls of those

Who took Him away.

A word of complaint.

What blindness in man ...

What blindness in man

That the Beloved should have

No beauty to him!

With His stripes

All our diseases

Required healing; our healing

Required Jesus' stripes.

 Around the Firth of Forth

The chastisement of our peace

Our iniquities 

Ensure that our peace required

The Lord's chastisement.
