The beauty of the candlestick could shine
Only in its own light, and everywhere
The glory of its light suffused the shrine.
Christ shines in Christ’s own light, and only there
Is Christ displayed in perfect truth and grace,
Which only light from Christ can thus confer.
And everything within the holy place
Is lightened by the light of Jesus’ face.
Around the River Ness
Another beautiful poem, David. Thank you!
