He came to Bethany - there
To speak, adjust, and depend,
And love. To make the place
His hearth, the home where
It was suitable for Him to be distinguished,
In resurrection power, as Son of God.
There nard acknowledged
His moral path, nard gave savour
Of Man according to God.
And in that place He last
Touched earth - leaving on earth
Something resonant with heaven.
David,
ReplyDeleteAnother prize winning poem. You are an amazing writer. Have you ever had any of them published?
Make sure you stop by my blog for a chance to enter in both book giveaways as one ends tomorrow.

Thank you for your generous comment. Apart from the Lulu publication at http://www.lulu.com/content/paperback-book/blessings/7098835 I haven't had much published, or tried too much. There's not been much sale of "Blessings" apart from my own. If anyone could download it and add comment- or even stars - this would be helpful! You just have to click on the star rating you think is right. But it has always been a concern that it is Christ who is to be magnified.
