To hear the Lord’s sublime narration

It delved in Peter, found the rock,
Establishing a fresh creation,
Staunchly withstanding Satan’s shock
Since what it built was God’s formation
“Be as I am!” Paul could exclaim
Because the Lord in exaltation
Had filled his sight till he could claim
He was like Christ by conformation.
